I loved the seventies. Young, out of the bOrg, always at least a thousand miles between my and my Superdub parents, single, naive, stoned, pissed, music, cars, travel, Then, about halfway through the seventies I stuffed it all up and tried to go all normal, hence my User Name

here in canada, our energy costs are going up because we have a carbon tax.
today, in the middle of the crisis, trudeau is raising it by 50%, probably as some perverse "thank you" to all the truckers delivering vital goods.
Constantly switching off and on expensive equipment can come back to bite you when they break down early because of the expansion and contraction that occurs in the circuit boards every time you cut the power to them and let them cool down.
some people i know have not gone out of their houses in weeks.
some will walk near their homes and run right back in.
meanwhile, i go food shopping and i see tons of people, many with masks and gloves on..
We're isolated because them's the rules here in NZ. There is lots of stuff to do on our property and our hobbies keep us both busy, so we won't be going stir crazy any time soon, but it would be nice to take the boat out to catch some fish, (not allowed). I'd stocked up on bait and chum before the lockdown thinking I was being clever :D

My Missus has already said she needs a bottle of red wine and is happy to have whatever I give her from our cellar. That is, of course, until something else is said by the head inmate of her chosen institution.
When I was a young fellow, which wine was used was important and had to be approved. I remember that there was talk about bull's blood being used to color some red wines and that would never do.
Whatever wine it was, we demolished the rest of the bottle before we went to bed.
